Description:
Sweet Green Bell Peppers are plump, bell-shaped vegetables featuring either three or four lobes. Although they belong to the capsicum family, they contain a recessive gene that eliminates capaicin, the compound responsible for the heat in other peppers. Ranging in size from 2 to 5 inches in diameter and about 2 to 6 inches in length, they have a thick flesh inside with edible bitter seeds. When young most bell peppers are bright green. If left on the plant Green Bell Peppers will turn red. Green Bell Peppers are very sweet. Our Green Bell Peppers are diced in 1/4 inch pieces.
