Remember, cooked Rice River Farms® can be refrigerated or frozen for future use. Simply reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop. Rice River Farms® blends make a delicious addition to soups, casseroles, and salads.

Refrigerating: Cooked leftover rice can be refrigerated for up to 5 days. Reheat in your microwave or on the stovetop, or incorporate into your favorite entree or soup!

Freezing: Cooked leftover rice can be frozen in a tightly sealed container for up to 6 months.

IQF (Individually Quick Freeze): Spread cooked leftover rice in a thin layer on a cookie sheet. Place in freezer until the grains of rice individually quick freeze. Remove with spatula and seal into zippered freezer bags. This idea works great! You can simply take out the desired amount and toss into entrees, soups, or can be added to your favorite salad for unique color, texture and flavor!

Q: How long will Rice River Farms® Premium Dry Roasted Wild Rice® last on the shelf?
A: Our Premium Dry Roasted Wild Rice® is dry roasted until there is approximately only 5% moisture in the rice (compared to 15% and more in other brands). The benefit of this is two-fold. Because of the low moisture content in the PremiumDry Roasted Wild Rice®, you are paying for only the dry roasted wild rice and not any added water weight! In addition, because there is virtually no moisture the Premium Dry Roasted Wild Rice®, it has an almost indefinite shelf life and will taste as fresh and nutty as the day it was packaged, for years to come!

Q: How long will Rice River Farms® Blends & Medleys last on the shelf?
A: As stated above, our Premium Dry Roasted Wild Rice® contains virtually no moisture and therefore has an almost indefinite shelf life. However, we've blended our wild rice with some of the best quality grains, fruits, nuts and other rices available. The moisture content and composition of these other items in the blends alters the shelf life of the Blends and Medleys. Care is taken to package the blends and seasonings in special moisture and light barrier packaging immediately after they're hand blended, and a shelf life of about 12 months is recommended.
